Collateral, where it’s needed.

International Collateral Group (ICG) works with owners of idle assets held at banks and approved vaults, and with project borrowers whose projects are sound but who hold no collateral of their own. ICG arranges for verified assets to stand as collateral support for a borrower’s financing — so good projects are not stopped by a missing balance sheet.

Asset-backed support for project finance · Bank and approved-vault custody only · Every arrangement verified bank-to-bank

How it works

  1. 1 · Introduction

A borrower with a real project — or an asset holder with assets sitting idle — contacts ICG. We start with the project, the parties, and the financing the borrower is seeking from their own lender.

  2. 2 · Verification

Assets are confirmed where they sit: at the holding bank or approved vault, through bank-to-bank channels only. Nothing is taken on paper alone, and ICG does not take custody of client assets.

  3. 3 · Structure & review

The arrangement is documented between the parties and reviewed by independent legal counsel on both sides before anything is signed. Terms are agreed in writing, in advance, with the borrower’s lender fully informed.

  4. 4 · Support in place

Once documentation is complete, the verified assets stand as collateral support for the borrower’s financing for the agreed term, while the assets themselves remain where they are held.

For borrowers

Many viable projects fail at the same point: a lender asks for collateral the borrower does not have. ICG exists for that gap. If your project can support financing on its merits but you cannot post collateral, ICG can arrange for verified third-party assets to provide the collateral support your lender requires.

ICG is not a lender and does not provide loans. Your financing still comes from your own bank or lender, on their decision — ICG’s role is the collateral support that makes their decision possible.

For asset holders

Assets held at a bank or an approved vault often sit idle for years. Through ICG, those assets can be put to work supporting real projects — without being sold, moved, or leaving the institution that holds them.

Participation is always documented in advance, verified through the holding institution, and structured with independent legal review. Asset holders decide, arrangement by arrangement, whether to take part.

About ICG

International Collateral Group was founded on a simple observation: the world holds enormous value in idle, verified assets, and at the same time worthwhile projects go unfunded for want of collateral. ICG connects the two sides — carefully, transparently, and only through regulated institutions.

Our standards are deliberate. We work only with assets held at banks or approved vaults. We verify everything bank-to-bank. We require independent legal review for every arrangement. And we do not work through intermediaries who cannot be verified. If a proposed arrangement cannot meet those standards, we do not proceed with it.
